Probably the most common question I get when it comes to performing a ketllebell clean is "How do I NOT get it to ‘bang’ my forearm or wrist?"
I know many KB practitioners, myself included, have struggled with this when first attempting the exercise. I’ve tried my best to give you some verbal queues and demos in following video to help you out. Let me know what you think and if it’s at helped you.
Have a great day!

Perfect timing, I’ve been struggling with these recently.
Thanks

I’d suggest looking up someone like Valery Federnko or Ivan Denisov, they know how to clean a kettlebell. That doesn’t look like a good clean form.

Hi Chris:
The clean is awesome for your grip and whole body – also great for starting a stubborn petrol lawnmower! Starts everytime now. Not achieved through doing bicep curls!
Many thanks

Great tips. Never heard of elbows being described as quiet or loud, but I like it. Thanks for the video!

Thanks Chris,
It’s good to hear I’m not the only one that has found these challenging.
You’re quite right regarding a heavier bell: I switched up, and my form improved drastically.
Thanks!

Awesome! Now if you could do a video on how to do a kb snatch without wacking your wrist life would be perfect!

Thanks Chris,
I have also been practising my Clean recently, because it has never looked really “clean” movement-wise. This will help.
Jody – Chris has actually already done a snatch video, back in August last year (search ‘snatch’ at the top of this page, and then you have to go back a page by clicking ‘older entries’. sorry I’m not super techno-savvy, otherwise could have provided a direct link!)
Cheers,
