Understanding how to hinge properly by drawing your hips back as far as you can when you swing a kettlebell is the key to developing a snappy and powerful swing.

Your hamstrings act as giant rubber bands where the further you draw your hips back, the more elastic energy you create in your hamstrings. This causes a “slingshot” effect giving you more power and making your swing more explosive.

Carry this over to your other ballistics and you’ll find you have to use your upper body less to fix the bell overhead when you snatch and your clean will look effortless when you settle the kettlebell into the rack.

In this video, I’ll show you how to properly hinge deep into your swing to make it more explosive.
